| Abstract |
|
A
patient with focal segmental glomer ulosclerosis and renal
insufficiency on case taking was found to have mild oedema
and extreme irritability, and to drink 15 to 20 cups of tea
or coffee per day. He was prescribed Nux vomica over a period
of 8 to 10 months in increasing potency. Previous to homeopathic
treatment the blood urea and serum creatinine were above normal
and gradually increasing, whereas after 4 months of homeopathic
treatment they showed a decrease and after another 5 months
came down to normal. His other symptoms have all improved.
The author infers from this case that prescribing a homeopathic
drug on a constitutional basis stimulates the entire organism
via a neuro-endocrine and immune system thus bringing changes
at mental and physical levels.
