The effect of the homoeopathic medicine China rubra 9 CH on symptoms reported by 35 patients with end stage renal failure on regular haemodialysis was investigated. The trial was double-blind, placebo controlled with a run-in phase and crossover. Assessment was made be a questionnaire of symptoms. Statistically significant improvements of asthenia, lethargy and headache were detected on active treatment compared to placebo. There was no significant change in nausea and vomiting.
