The author has discussed the classification of common colics in this paper. These colics may be Intestinal, Renal, Biliary and appendicular, Differential diagnosis includes differentiation from other colics, appendicitis and testicular pain. Cause may be stone, blood clots pus emboli or even tumor material or oxalrtes crystals associated with vomiting. The use of pethidine is found justified.
