It is a useful, small soft woody tree, commonly cultivated throughout India. Its green fruit if used both as a vegetable and fruit, and helps in liver complications and disorders of digestion. Ripe fruit is very useful in habitual constipation.

        Jaundice - Early stage of jaundice when there is loss of appetite with pain in right hypochondrium worse after meals. Stool undigested, loose followed by constipation. Urine yellow & dark. Conjunctiva pale. Taste of mouth bitter.
