Nyctanthes
means 'night flowering' and arbortristis means 'the sad tree'
as it loses its brightness during daytime. Flowers are highly
fragrant. It has been used for all types of fevers & sciatica
in Ayurveda.

Leaves
are used for the medicinal purpose & are collected during
March and April.

Fever
- It is very efficacious in all fevers especially in fever
of double quotidian type. Chill is attended with thirst. Chilliness
is followed by burning feverand sweat is absent. Urine is scanty
and high coloured. Tongue is coated white. Nausea is also an
associated symptom.
