The study suggested that the small risk of dying from asthma increased two and a half fold for every additional beta-against inhaler used per month. Beta agonists relieve symptoms during after attacks by relaxing the muscles and thus making the airways dilate. If attacks persist or occur frequently the beta against may be taken regularly, rather that just when needed.
